On the seventh day, my nephew Haniff took George and Maria to KL
Sentral to book their train ticket (to Singapore) and also to Karyaneka
Handicrafts Centre. I forgot to give Haniff my digicam so there were no
photos to be shown of that trip. However, they did see a few crafty
activities like songket weaving and batik painting, in which George left
his signature and message in his native language of Greek.
In the evening, Haniff and I took them to Kampung Kuantan in Kuala
Selangor to witness the fireflies. (You can also read about my first
trip there.)
It took over an hour to get there, but it was worth it. The
weather was just right.
I also didn't tell Maria (or George) that the river was probably
infested with real crocodiles. Maria said later, if she knew, she
wouldn't have taken the ride... Oh well, silence is golden.
